Casting Call
Maria and I (Steve) have been put in charge of creating a little movie for everyone at the reunion, because it doesn't involve that much responsibility and no one will die if we mess up. If anyone remembers the old family reunion movie, the one with the car-jumper torture scene and Great-Grandma Hall beating off a horde of motocycle misfits with a switch, it'll be a little bit like that, only it should be better, because Maria has a B.A. in film and film studies, so we're all expecting a lot from her because she has a degree to defend. Anyway, we're thinking about doing a little short film that will involve everyone who wants to be involved. As of yet the film will be titled It Came from the Return of the Curse of the Son of Squidman and will be like one of those old 1950's B-movie films, like Creature from the Black Lagoon. The script is currently in production, as is costume design. The concept art looks great. If anyone happens to have a full-body man-squid costume lying in their garage, or boxed up in the attic, please let us know. Casting is open to anyone who wants to be in the film, pass it on to the kiddos. Any further questions, contact me through my agent, Maria H.

What's the latest?
We would like to ask you to bring approximately 30 photos of your family, on a CD, with you to the reunion. This is a great chance to share our interests, get caught up and let each other know what we've been up to. We will be showing them throughout the week and then Rich will use them to update Mom and Dad's digital picture frame. (yes, you counted right...that's 330 pictures. Bring lots of popcorn!)

Scrapbook Pages!
Hey everybody!! This is Lisa (I'm invading the blog). I just wanted to remind everyone (including myself) that the reunion is a great chance to distribute your 2008 scrapbook pages. I know, it's June, but congrats to Michelle who is the only one that has done hers from last year. We still have two more weeks before the reunion, plenty of time to throw something together. Remember, it's doesn't have to be fancy, just show us what your family was up to in 2008. As a side note, my kids love our scrapbooks pages. Since we don't get to see all of you too often it's a great way for them to still know who their cousins are.
Also, want to note that Liz & Travis and Stephen & Maria are now eligible to submit their pages too. Don't want you to feel left out. That also means, when you go to make copies, you need to make 10 copies, that makes enough for L&T and S&M.
If you can distribute your pages at the reunion, then you also save on postage!!!
Thanks everyone. We can't wait to see you all.

Events Schedule
A big "thanks" to everyone for being willing to help out with the reunion events. This will be another opportunity to lay around, play, and just hang out. We will have a family activity each evening and a Fourth of July picnic on Saturday at Allan and Kristin's. The week looks a little like this:
Tuesday- We are free to show up anytime after noon. Tuesday after dinner Lisa and Jason will lead us in a game night (hour).
Wednesday- You have one month to brush up on your act. Eric and Sally will be MC-ing the family talent show! (I think....we've got to get in touch!)
Thursday- Thursday evening Dad will entertain us with a slide show. Because we have access to a projector we thought it would be fun to show some of our digital photos. If you would like to contribute photos, please bring them on a disk.
Friday- After dinner Jason and Diana will host the family olympics.
Saturday- We will head back to Allan's after breakfast. Fourth of July activities will take place from there.
Brian and Nicole are heading up a geneology activity throughout the week that can help the grandkids who are working on their Faith in God or Duty to God awards. Please contact Nicole if you have a child who wants to be involved.
Just one month left! Please let me know if you have any suggestions or have any questions. See you soon!
